DIY Travel: The best way to travel?

One thing that many people will recommend when it comes to travelling is planning, and doing, everything yourself. Many companies will offer packages that you can take up to save you the hassle (but obviously charge you a little more for it.) They’ll pick your routes, choose your hotels, choose your mode and means of transportation and maybe even activities along the way.
For many people, though, part of the joy of travelling the world is creating your own itinerary. That way every single aspect of your holiday is catered for you and by you. You’ll save a little bit of money along the way as well; being able to choose your own hotels and negotiate your own travel and rates and get a real taste of the local environment as your make your way around countries and continents. The key thing is to always plan a holiday that you’re comfortable with; there’s all kinds of options available.
