You may have heard by now of schemes running for people to share car journeys with other when travelling to work or otherwise. There has now been websites set up to promote this type of industry. This new scheme is set to not only cut pollution costs across the country but to also reduce costs for drivers and passengers.
It makes sense that if you want to go somewhere and have an empty car, to take other people that also want to go to the same location and split the fuel costs. On these websites, you can register yourself and add a journey that you are planning to take. You can then decide on a fixed price for someone to share the journey with you.
I really believe that this could really boom over the next few years with the recent even more worrying reports on pollution and the harsh reality of the recession still impacting our wallets.
