Buses and Coachs travelling on waste

Despite the commonly understood advantages of using public transport, the one issue that has faced the bus and coach industry is the fact that they still have to rely on using fossil fuels. Comparing the emissions from car occupied by a single passenger and a bus or coach, the emissions per person are actually a lot lower, but they do still produce a lot of carbon monoxide and other pollutants.
The new state of the art all-electric buses have zero street-level emissions, low noise and very minimal environmental impact. These buses are very practical for short distant travelling. For longer distances to travel we also have the option of buses and coaches that run on LPG. LPG is a cleaner alternative to diesel so work well for this purpose.
Imagine though if we could fuel transport with waste. This would solve many issues and make for a very promising way to cut down on pollution and waste in general. This is a very green approach and sounds to good to be true, but the fact remains that this does seem to be the way forwards and in many counties is being made a reality.
